To be honest, the best thing this class has done for me considering useful technology for the early childhood classroom would have to be the list of websites we've looked at for teacher resources; ones that help with developing lesson plans, ones that host lots of images and videos that can be used to enforce a point, and sites that consist of learning activities and games for the children to do online to help them practice their work.
Really, the spreadsheets, power point, Microsoft word; all those programs are nothing new to me and I already generally knew how to use those in education. I have learned a little more about integration technology into the regular curriculum, but again, I already had a strong basis for this before hand.
I found the i-movie to be fun, however I dont think it will really be all that useful for younger students. This would be better to learn about for teaching middle childhood or higher.
I dont think using technology in the classroom is a 'must', but it can be quite beneficial if done correctly.

I think that it is important to allow children this first-hand look at the Internet. Children can learn a lot if you give them the correct tools to use. There are several websites that we have learned about (KidPix) that children can use effectively. I had also had some knowledge of using spreadsheets but it is always good to refresh your skills. We were also able to learn about different activities and sites that offer young children easy to use applications. The M&M activity that we did would also be a great activity to use in the classroom because it is an easy way that children can begin using spreadsheet and excel to create tables and graphs.
I also thought the websites we have been given are great resources for us! Even though most of us know word or excel or powerpoint, we have be given some great ideas on how to let children us them or how we can use them as teachers. The M&M activity would be a great activity for elementary students. I definitely think there are benefits to using technology in the classroom.
I also feel that EDTL 303 has given lots of information related to teacher resources. I would probably not even know half this technology existed if it was not for this class. I already previously knew how to use word and excel because I already took classes on that software in middle school. It is nice to have some new information in a class and I feel like I am actually using the information that we discuss in class.
